1. Eid-ul-Fitr (Festival of Breaking the Fast)
Celebrated at the end of Ramadan (the holy month of fasting).
Begins on 1st Shawwal (Islamic month).
Special Eid prayer (Salat-al-Eid) is performed in congregation.
Zakat-ul-Fitr (charity) is given before Eid prayer.
People wear new clothes, visit family, and share sweets.
2. Eid-ul-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice)
Commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) willingness to sacrifice his son for Allah.
Observed on 10th Dhul-Hijjah (Islamic month).
Marks the end of Hajj pilgrimage in Makkah.
Qurbani (sacrifice) of an animal (sheep, goat, cow, or camel) is done, and the meat is distributed to the needy.
Special Eid prayer is performed.

Islamic New Year (Hijri New Year) – Marks the migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah.
